Where will we be staying?

All of our lodging is booked for check-in on 09 Aug 2026 and check-out on 16 Aug 2026. Check-in times may vary by property.

• We have reserved five houses for our group*. They are grouped together as follows: 2 near each other in Soto de Cangas; 2 near each other 25 minutes away, near Sebares; and 1 in between the other pairs, in the city of Cangas de Onis, . Some of houses were rented from AirBnB, some from Vrbo, and some directly from the owners. NOTE: While we are posting the actual properties, please do not contact any owners directly. We don’t want to confuse our hosts.
• Our selection criteria included location (we tried to get houses near each other whenever possible), price, availability, number and content of online reviews, and our impressions of the host’s friendliness and responsiveness.
• See below for tentative housing assignments. House assignments have been made based on travel groups and suitability (e.g., double beds for couples, single beds for roommates). Please let us know if there is a MAJOR problem with the house you were placed in.

* There is one additional house in Quemada for 2 nights, near Burgos. This is for the subset of our group who preferred to have overnight lodging near Almazan, where we plan to view the eclipse event.
